Frequently Asked Questions

Will Clawson Consulting work in our offices or at its own location?
To provide you with the best service, our working arrangements are designed to meet your needs, whatever they are. We will work at your office, at our location, or a combination of both, to give you the best of both worlds.
Do you charge by the hour, day, week or month; or flat rate billing by projects?
Like everything else we will do for you, our remuneration is based upon whatever serves your needs best. Some clients feel having a “meter running” is too open-ended. They prefer to know their weekly or monthly costs up-front.
Our more than a decade of providing services to businesses like yours enables us to accurately estimate your service costs plus or minus 10%, no matter what billing cycle you prefer. To protect clients, hourly work done on or offsite is billed in 6-minute increments and not rounded up to industry standard quarter-, half-, or one-hour segments.
Must I commit to a long term contract?
Absolutely not.
In the first 30 days, you can end the relationship upon 24-hour notice and payment of money owed to Clawson Consulting for work to that point.
Starting on the 31st day, you can end the relationship upon 30-days written notice and money owed to Clawson Consulting for work to that point.
Of course, the same applies to how Clawson Consulting can end the relationship.
How much will you charge for your initial consulting?
It is free!
Our first meeting typically lasts for 1 to 2 hours. That is usually enough time for us to understand your needs and for you to understand the extra value you can expect from a relationship with Clawson Consulting. At that point, we can decide together whether to move forward.
There is no charge for this consultation.
What ancillary services do you provide?
Clawson Consulting has helped many clients meet their requirements in many areas not usually considered to be the purview of a bookkeeper or accountant. Our goal is to make our clients’ lives better in any way we can.
For example, we have negotiated better rates for telephone and computer services; secured cost-saving rates for health, disability, life and dental insurance; managed special projects; planned and executed events; negotiated lease terms for office space and automobiles; arranged for spousal anniversary gifts to be selected, purchased, and delivered; and have even helped clients select their ad agency.
